Hello All,
We started this blog so that friends and family could follow our adventures as we relocate to Germany. For those of you that don't know, we are moving to Schweinfurt, Germany just after the new year. Obviously we are feeling a wide range of emotions right now as we wade through the process, but we are very excited for this journey we are about to embark on!
The movers have already come and picked up the majority of our stuff, so we are just hanging out in an empty house until the 31st, when we move into a hotel for our last couple days. We shipped our car about two weeks ago, to give it a head start, as it will take about 45 days to get to Germany. Today we "practice packed" to make sure all our remaining stuff will fit into our checked baggage. I think the airline is going to cringe when they see us roll in with all our stuff!
We are looking forward to enjoying our last week or so here in Manhattan, Kansas with the great friends we have met here. We will keep you all posted as our week moves on. . .
